Last month i help one of my friend owned his 1st domain name. Since the domain is for his business, it very easy to choose and take less keyword study. At the same time, i teach him how to buy a good domain name. Hopefully he will remember all the step since this guy is quite busy running his offline business.
First Step:
We’re discuss on what type of website he want to develop and as i mention earlier since he want to create a website for his company therefore im choose a few keywords directly related with his business niche. I elaborate the few keywords that match with his business background and strategies. The name is brandable, short and easy to memorize by visitor. I can’t mention it here since the website is still under development.
Second Step:
Im guided him to few domain provider sites in which we can check the domain availability and purchase selected domain from there. Im starting with enom.com one of the older domain provider:-
then with another two well known domain provider namecheap
and godaddy:-
He check the availability and purchased the domain from one of the domain provider. I got my own domain from each site therefore im suggested to him one of the most suitable for him. The easy to configure and got a discount at that time.
So, this step to buy a good domain name is very easy and only take less than 5 minute if you already done with the niche keyword study. Some argue about how important to put our keywords on domain name. To be honest it very important in term of search engine optimization. If we got our selected keywords as our domain some credit for us to be at good position in search engine for that keyword. Actually a good domain must come together with a good contents. It just like a coffee with a sugar, both need to be blended together in order to get the good result. Internet entrepreneur already knew about this, that why they keep buying a lot of good domain as investment in future.

Nice entry! I usually go to the registrars I’m familiar with first before checking for other well-known domain name registrars (like register.com) and new ones. Sometimes, I just use whois.domaintools.com and check if the domain I want has been registered or not
Btw, I’ve been using Namecheap since 2001, and I really love their user-friendly domain control panel.
Godaddy is my fav site to buy domain names as well.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
